McDonald's UK is offering families a Happy Meal for just £1.99 from 28th March until 14th April, in time for the Easter holidays. The meal, discounted by 40 per cent, will be available at McDonald's restaurants across the nation. Customers need to download the McDonald's app and go to the offers section to access the deal.
The restaurant is collaborating with multiplayer card game Uno for this limited-edition meal, featuring characters from several DreamWorks Animation franchises. The family-friendly game has six card packs available, including the classic Uno card pack and five packs with designs from Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, Madagascar, Trolls and Megamind. Packs are randomly allocated, but customers can politely ask if a particular character is available.
For families preferring a book instead of a toy, two Little People Big Dreams books are available: 'I Can Be an Astronaut' or 'I Can Be a Brave Adventurer'. As usual, the Happy Meal contains a choice of Fish Fingers, Chicken McNuggets or Veggie Dippers with an Apple and Grape bag or Carrot Bag side, plus drink options including water, milk, or Fruit Shoot.
This offer follows McDonald's US launch of a limited-edition adult Happy Meal, the Kerwin Frost Box, which debuted on 11th December. The US meal includes a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets with fries and a drink, and features six McNugget Buddies inspired by the 1990s.
