Lidl is launching a new LED table lamp in all its UK stores this Thursday, October 22, priced at just £7.99. The LIVARNO LED Table Lamp, available in black or white, is positioned as an affordable option for shoppers looking to brighten their homes amid rising energy costs.
Design and Features
The lamp features a contemporary design with an elegant lampshade in white glass with a fine ribbed design, offering gentle, glare-free lighting. It includes a base with a furniture-friendly pad, a power cable (1.55m) with an integrated switch, and comes with an LED bulb emitting warm white light. Suitable for indoor use, the lamp has a fitting of E14, a lampshade diameter of 15cm, and a height of 15.5cm. It also comes with a 3-year warranty.
The lamp is only available in stores, so shoppers cannot have it delivered. To check availability, customers can use the online store finder on the Lidl website by entering their postcode.
Comparison with B&Q
The Lidl lamp is seen as a budget alternative to the Nordlux Milford Glass Table Lamp sold at B&Q for £47.95, which is nearly six times the price. The B&Q product description highlights its opal white glass, organic forms, and grooved, transparent surface, noting that the glass is mouth-blown and individually hand crafted, which can result in air bubbles and varying thickness.
Unlike Lidl's in-store-only offering, B&Q provides home delivery and free Click + Collect, with standard delivery costing £6 or free on orders over £100, while delivery for larger items costs £15 or is free on orders over £500.
