Lidl has introduced a limited-edition Middle of Lidl Blue Card that gives 100 lucky holders £50 every month for a year to spend on products from its famed middle aisle. The total value of the card is £600.
To be in with a chance of winning, customers must complete a quiz to prove they are the ultimate Lidl 'superfan'. The quiz is open from October 21 to October 31, and entrants will then be placed into a ballot to win one of the exclusive cards.
How the Blue Card works
The card allows winners to spend £50 each month on Middle of Lidl items, from Tupperware to garden furniture. The money will be replenished every month for a year, totalling £600.
Joanna Gomer, Lidl GB's marketing director, said: 'We wanted to celebrate Lidl's biggest fans and give something back, so we created the Middle of Lidl Blue Card.'
'Whether they're heading straight to the Middle of Lidl for the latest drop, know all the Lidl lore or make a regular trip to the MoL on Thursdays and Sundays, the card is our way of recognising the fans who make the Middle Aisle such a much-loved part of the Lidl shopping experience.'
Current middle aisle bargains
The Middle of Lidl aisle is known for constantly switching up its products. Current bargains include an insulated bottle for £3.49, a £32.99 air fryer measuring 6.7 litres, and Halloween decorations such as a £7.99 gonk wearing an orange witch's hat and a £14.99 light-up broomstick.
Lidl has also been 'quietly' phasing out standard 54L hand baskets in favour of larger 80L rolling basket trolleys, according to customers. This move has drawn criticism online, with some calling the bigger baskets 'cumbersome' and an 'accessibility nightmare' for older shoppers and those with disabilities.
In other news, Lidl's bakery recently added the Milkybar Muffin for £1.49 on October 1, which has been labelled 'phenomenal', 'lush', 'unreal', and 'dangerous' online. The product features a white chocolate-flavoured filling inside a sponge muffin, topped with a Milkybar button.
