Lidl is selling a solar-powered garden ornament for £4.99 that it says can add atmosphere to outdoor spaces, bearing a strong resemblance to a more expensive alternative at Dunelm.
Lidl's £4.99 solar gonk
The LIVARNO Solar Gonk with Red Hat Garden Ornament measures 18.5cm tall and features LEDs with warm white light. It is splash-proof with an IP44 rating and can be switched off manually.
Describing the product, Lidl said: "Atmospheric ornament with lighting for gardens, patios or balconies, automatically turns on at dusk and illumination time of 8 hours fully charged. Made from hand-painted artificial stone, can also be switched off manually."
