Kohl’s Launches Deal Bar with 10 Items Nationwide

Kohl’s has introduced a new in-store feature called the Deal Bar, a front-of-store hub offering a rotating selection of gifts, seasonal items and everyday essentials priced at $10 or less. The initiative, announced earlier this month, is now installed at the entrance of all Kohl’s locations across the country.

The Deal Bar is designed to appeal to cost-conscious shoppers, similar to Target’s Bullseye's Playground. The assortment includes kids’ activity books, craft kits, seasonal décor, holiday-themed goodies and practical lifestyle essentials. Current displays feature Easter party supplies, spring decor, and wellness accessories such as meal prep containers, jump ropes and yoga blocks.

According to Kohl’s, the Deal Bar aims to provide customers with quick, affordable options for gifts, seasonal items and everyday needs, including stationery, storage solutions and tokens for occasions like Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Weeks. Future offerings will include Fourth of July party favours.

The launch comes under CEO Michael Bender, who took over in November. Despite ongoing sales declines, Kohl’s saw some progress in the third quarter of 2025. Analysts have described the retailer as a potential “sneaky upside story” as it corrects past missteps with coupons and private brands. Evercore ISI analyst Michael Binett noted that improvement seems to come from listening to consumers and bringing back value.

Shoppers can explore Deal Bar products in person at over 1,100 Kohl’s stores across 49 states, or browse the selection online. The company reports that eight out of ten Americans live within 15 miles of a Kohl’s store.
