KitchenAid KF8 Review: A User-Friendly Espresso Machine
KitchenAid KF8 Review: A User-Friendly Espresso Machine

The KitchenAid KF8 is a fully automatic espresso machine designed for simplicity. It arrives pre-flushed and ready to use out of the box, with minimal setup required. The flat stainless steel top and minimalist digital display make it a sleek addition to any kitchen counter.

The machine offers extensive customisation. Users can adjust temperature, body strength, grind fineness, and liquid volume for each drink. The ‘my profile’ feature stores up to six personalised drink presets, including preferences for double shots or different milk types. A detachable milk tank and a bean caddy that can be shut off from the grinder allow easy switching between beans.

However, the americano setting does not allow changing the order of water and espresso, which can compromise the crema. For custom order, users must select hot water and espresso separately. The grind adjustment panel is detachable but may require some searching to locate.

Over two months of testing, the KF8 performed well in ease of use, cleaning, and adaptability. The grinder purges after each use to prevent cross-contamination, and a separate slot for ground coffee is available. Overall, this machine is ideal for those who want a quality, customisable coffee with minimal effort.
