Kipling has launched its Back-to-School collection, offering parents a head start on September shopping. The range includes backpacks, wheeled bags, pencil cases and lunch bags, with prices starting at £5. The collection is designed to help children get excited about returning to the classroom.
Backpacks for All Ages
Kipling's larger rucksacks are suitable for older pupils who need space for textbooks, sports kit and laptops. Many designs feature padded laptop compartments and multiple pockets for organisation. The backpacks come with detachable, adjustable shoulder straps for comfort and a water-resistant coating. They have a zipped main section and an interior pocket.
The Minions collection includes rucksacks priced at £117 for the large version and £107 for the smaller design. For those preferring a more understated look, the medium drawstring bag is available for £29 in 20 different shades, ranging from gentle pink to striking red.
Pencil Cases and Accessories
Kipling's pencil cases start from £24 and are available in 25 colours and fun prints, each featuring the brand's signature logo. Collectable zipper pullers are priced from £5 and include designs such as sharks and starfish. The brand's iconic monkey keychains start at £24.
Customer Reviews
The new collection has not yet garnered customer reviews on Kipling's site, but the brand has positive feedback on Trustpilot. One satisfied shopper said: "Great quality and unique design, I am very happy with my new backpack. It looks stylish too. I had never had any bags from Kipling before, but I was quite impressed with the quality. It's not expensive, so it's absolutely great for the price. Also, I am surprised how much I enjoy a fluffy monkey keyring, it's a really fun detail."
Another customer commented: "I love the colour of my bag, and it is super light. It has so many pockets, which is nice for everyday use. It has adjustable straps and two zip pockets at the front." However, some shoppers reported delivery issues, with one stating: "Ordered two matching suitcases, but only one arrived, which was disappointing." A delighted customer added: "Ordered a bag from Kipling and the number of zipped pockets on this bag is great. I've never bought a bag this expensive, and its quality is amazing, and I love the Monkey key ring and the zip tab design, and I'm so happy with it. Thank you."
Other Retailers Offering School Bags
Marks and Spencer has also unveiled school bags starting from £10, featuring characters such as Minecraft, Bluey, Paddington Bear and Disney's Frozen. Ryman offers the Legami Pencil Case for £12.99, which includes an interior mesh compartment, a pen holder pocket, a zip closure and a panda design.
