The Hoover 200W Cordless Stick Vacuum, reduced to £125.10 with the code Autumn10 at Yimbly, offers 'incredible' suction power and anti-tangle technology, making it £373 cheaper than the Dyson V15 Detect.
The vacuum, which already had its sale price cut by £46, is reduced further when shoppers enter Autumn10 at checkout, bringing the price down from £185 pre-sale to £125.10 - a total saving of £59.90. It comes with a Mini Turbo Pet tool designed to tackle stubborn pet hair and grime on both hard floors and soft furnishings.
Pet owners praise suction power
One Hoover user said: "This has an incredible 200W of suction power that effortlessly lifts stubborn dog and cat hair out of carpets and off hard floors." The vacuum is reported to glide across a range of surfaces, while advanced anti-tangle technology helps prevent hair from wrapping around the brush roller.
LED lights on the floorhead illuminate concealed dust and dirt, and dual-sided traps capture dust along both edges, which is particularly useful for skirting boards and corners.
Comparing with Dyson and Shark rivals
The Hoover model is in direct competition with the Dyson V15 Detect, which offers 60 minutes of runtime and powerful suction, and can remove pet hair from the floor and itself via the Digital Motorbar. The Dyson, however, carries a standard price of £699.99, now reduced by £200 to £499.99, making the Hoover £373 cheaper.
The Hoover lacks a dust-detect sensor, the ability to spiral hair directly into the bin, and automatic power adjustment. Unlike the Dyson, Hoover users must adjust power settings manually when moving between hard floors and carpeted areas.
The Shark PowerPro Pet vacuum is another option, with a premium £299 model now reduced to £199, featuring a self-cleaning brush roll designed for pet hair.
Shoppers 'had no idea' about hidden pet hair
The same Hoover shopper praised its performance: "The three speed modes make it easy to switch from quick fur cleanups to deep carpet cleaning, while the LED headlight makes it incredibly easy to spot hidden pet hair bunnies hiding under furniture."
Another Yimbly reviewer highlighted its practicality: "Great Hoover vacuum cleaner. Good Power. Easy to use and very easy to empty. And great being cordless."
A further customer said: "Really excellent, easy to use and lightweight for carrying. I love it. Had no idea there was so much dog and cat fluff in the carpets."
