Home Bargains is selling a near-identical version of the viral Starbucks bear cup for just 99p, offering a budget-friendly alternative to the £28 branded tumbler that sold out earlier this year.
The Starbucks cup, a teddy-shaped glass tumbler, caused a frenzy in January when it launched in UK stores, with fans queuing early and a one-per-person rule imposed due to limited stock. Many missed out, sparking demand for a cheaper look-alike.
On TikTok, shopper @D.txx0 shared a display of similar cups at Home Bargains, labelled as a bear-shaped tumbler with a straw. The 99p cup is made from BPA-free plastic rather than glass, and lacks any Starbucks branding, with subtle differences in the bear's face such as wider-set eyes.
The online listing is currently sold out, but shoppers can sign up for email alerts. Reactions online have been mixed: one wrote, 'Driving now to all of the Home Bargains near me!', while another queried, 'Is this deffo in the UK? I've been to three and nothing there!'
In related news, Home Bargains recently introduced a £13 piece of wall art that looks similar to an £885 Studio McGee painting, as shared by TikToker @Homewithrox.
