Tower Air Fryers Recalled Over Fire Risk: Check Your Model Now

The UK Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued an urgent recall for several Tower air fryer models due to a risk of overheating and fire. The affected units, manufactured between January 2022 and April 2023, were sold at major retailers including Argos, B&M, and Tesco.

The recall covers models T17023 (2.2L Manual), T17061BLK (4L Manual), T17067 (4L Digital), and T17087 (2L Compact Manual). The OPSS stated: “The product presents a risk of fire as it can overheat and ignite during use. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.”

In addition to the air fryers, other products have been recalled for safety defects. A hot air brush with a clover-style plug poses a high risk of electric shock, while certain batteries may overheat during charging, presenting a fire risk. A baby hooded item has been flagged for suffocation risk, and a stuffed toy for asphyxiation due to weak seams.
