Glasgow Sephora opening: queue times and warnings ahead of August 13
Glasgow Sephora opening: queue times and warnings

Sephora will open its second Scottish store at Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow tomorrow, August 13, with the queue officially opening at 8am and doors welcoming customers at 10am.

Queue details and warnings

Shoppers have been warned that no overnight queueing will be permitted. Silverburn said in its post that it would rather shoppers "get a good night's sleep." The warning follows TikTok videos of beauty fans queueing outside the Edinburgh store from around 4:30am earlier this year.

Silverburn has also advised that visitors will not receive a goody bag. Instead, a 'Beauty Bonus Card' revealing a prize will be handed out to those making a purchase between August 13-18, while stocks last.

Parking and store details

Shoppers are encouraged to park in the multi-storey car park, which offers around 2,000 free spaces. The store will be the second in Scotland, following the Edinburgh opening at St James Quarter.

Sephora, founded in France in 1970, operates over 2,700 stores across 35 countries, stocking more than 340 brands including Charlotte Tilbury and Elizabeth Arden.

Customer excitement and context

Beauty fans have expressed excitement on social media, with one writing: "I literally cannot contain my excitement for this!" Another added: "Can’t wait." The opening follows Space NK's second Glasgow store opening earlier in the summer at Silverburn.

As of writing, it is unclear what will be on offer at the Glasgow store, with more information expected during the opening.
