Gino D'Acampo has addressed recent reports about his restaurant business, clarifying that only one of his chains has gone into liquidation. The Italian chef and television personality took to social media to set the record straight after speculation about his pasta chain, My Pasta Bar.
In a video message, D'Acampo explained that My Pasta Bar, which operated three small outlets in central London, is being closed after ten years of trading. He cited the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic as a factor in the decision, stating that the business was a standalone venture and unrelated to his other enterprises.
The chef also shared exciting news about his restaurant business, which he described as performing well. He announced plans to open three major new sites this year, including one in Italy. Additionally, D'Acampo revealed the opening of a new restaurant in Alderley Edge, named Luciano after his eldest son, following the success of his Luciano restaurant at the ME Hotel in London.
