Former Greggs Worker Reveals Menu Item They'd Avoid

A former employee of Greggs has disclosed the one item on the bakery chain's menu they would never eat. The popular high street brand, known for its sausage rolls and pasties, operates over 2,600 stores across the UK and recently reported revenues exceeding £2 billion.

In a Reddit 'Ask Me Anything' session, the ex-staff member said they would steer clear of the Chicken Bake. When asked to explain, they cited a personal dislike for chicken in a bake and uncertainty about the sauce used, describing it as a 'mystery paste'.

Greggs describes its Chicken Bake as 'chicken breast pieces in a creamy white sauce with soft cheese, all wrapped up in golden puff pastry', calling it a 'timeless classic' that has 'stood the test of time'. The item remains a staple alongside the best-selling sausage roll.
