As soon as I unpacked the Lever Arm Floor Lamp, I went straight to re-check the Dunelm website. I could not believe that I had not paid more for it.
A Surprising Bargain from Dunelm
There is nothing like summer sunshine flooding into your home to inspire a room makeover. The Dunelm sale provides the perfect opportunity to do so for less right now. The homeware giant has slashed prices on thousands of bestsellers in a huge sale that ends on Sunday, giving shoppers just days left to grab their bargains.
As a Dunelm regular, my home is filled with favourites from the retailer. One recent purchase I was particularly impressed by is the Lever Arm Floor Lamp, currently reduced from £59 down to just £47.20. This addition to my home office looks and feels far more expensive.
Vintage Vibes on a Budget
I love anything that brings vintage vibes to my home. When decorating my study, I had the Antique Brass version of the Lever Arm Floor Lamp on my mood board for a while. With its budget-friendly price tag and a rating of 4.7 out of five stars based on more than 300 reviews, I was worried it might look cheap.
After searching for other brass floor lamps across the high street, I struggled to find any with the right look. Ones I did like, such as the Library Swing Arm Brass Floor Lamp at Argos or the Freya Floor Lamp at Next, were more than double the price.
So I decided to take the plunge with the Lever Arm Floor Lamp. When it arrived, it was so big and heavy that I had to go straight back to the Dunelm website to check its price. I believed I must have misread it because something of this quality could not possibly have cost less than £50.
Quality and Design
Nevertheless, it had indeed cost that amount. After a quick and easy assembly, I could not be more pleased with my purchase. The lamp finishes off my vintage-style study perfectly. The adjustable arm and head are practical when I need extra light at my desk. The foot switch means I do not even have to get out of my chair to turn it on and off. An extra touch I particularly love is that the cable and switch are also brass-coloured, so it does not look unsightly along the floor.
While I love the authentic-looking antique brass shade, the lamp also comes in black and green. I cannot speak for how good these colours look. The only negative I have is that it is quite top-heavy. I will need to make sure to keep my daughter away from it once she starts walking so that she does not tip it over.
Recommendation
If you are looking for something stylish and expensive-looking to transform your room, I recommend the Lever Arm Floor Lamp as a top buy in the Dunelm sale. It has attracted plenty of compliments from friends and family, all of whom were surprised when I told them how much it cost.
