Beef King has confirmed it will open its first Aberdeen branch this autumn, taking over a unit at 196 George Street. The sit-in and takeaway diner announced on its Facebook page that the opening will take place sometime in September, though the exact date has not yet been revealed.
Second Scottish location
The Aberdeen branch will be the second Beef King in Scotland, following the opening of the chain's Stonehaven site at 25 Allardice Street in March 2026. Founded in 2022, Beef King currently operates 11 venues across the UK, with more planned.
The new restaurant will occupy a space formerly used by Indian takeaway chain Blue Spice, which recently closed. The unit will offer seating and tables, according to a recent Facebook post from the company.
Menu and local reaction
The menu features prime Angus beef and free-range chicken, including signature wraps, smash burgers, dirty fries, and milkshakes. The chain is known for its 'Manchester Spicy Dip Burger', available at select locations.
Local foodies have responded positively to the news. One commenter on Instagram wrote: "Yay!! This is such good news." Another added: "Can’t wait. After so long, something amazing is coming in Aberdeen." A third said: "Getting closer and closer!"
Other new openings in Aberdeen
The Beef King opening follows several other new food venues in Aberdeen this year, including Kaizen, a wellness cafe on George Street, and Chilo's smash burger bar, also on George Street. Additionally, Mezzo, a Mediterranean-style diner from chef Kevin Dalgleish, is set to open in the former Chopstix Noodle Bar unit near the Trinity Centre in October.
