Asda Kids Eat Free Halloween deal returns to all 211 stores

Asda has confirmed it will bring back its popular 'kids eat free' deal for one day only this Halloween, offering a free Asda Café kids' meal to children arriving in Halloween outfits on Saturday, October 31. The promotion applies to anyone aged 16 or under at any of the chain's 211 cafés across the country, with no minimum purchase required and no obligation for accompanying adults to order food.

Costume not required for free meal

According to Asda, the choice of costume does not matter, and even youngsters arriving without costumes will still be entitled to a free meal for one day only. The supermarket has clarified that there will be certain exceptions, but the offer remains open to all children under 16, subject to availability.

The free meal, usually worth £1, includes options such as chicken nuggets, fish fingers, penne pasta, and pizza, alongside the cold pick-and-mix selection comprising a sandwich, a drink, fruit, and a sweet snack. Each child is limited to one meal from the kids' menu per day.

Half term support for families

The promotion arrives as many households make the most of half term, with the long-running Kids Eat for £1 meal deal running throughout the remainder of the week and year-round. Jordan Cummings, buying manager for Cafés and Concessions at Asda, said: "Halloween should be full of treats, not financial frights. With Halloween falling during half term, we're delighted to help families enjoy the fun for less."

Cummings added: "Whether children are dressed as ghosts, ghouls or superheroes, they can enjoy a free meal on us while parents pick up everything they need for a fang-tastic Halloween celebration. From spooky snacks and sweet treats to great-value costumes from George, we're helping families make the most of the occasion without breaking the bank."

Aldi launches Halloween range

In other supermarket news, Aldi has launched a new selection of Halloween products, with prices starting at just 99p. The range features life-sized skeletons, floating witch hats, giant spider webs, jack-o'-lanterns and inflatable garden decorations, with every item costing under £20.

Bargain hunters can purchase Halloween window stickers for 99p, tabletop decorations for £1.29, and decorate-your-own bags for £1.49. At the higher end, a life-sized posable skeleton is available for £19.99, with Aldi recommending positioning it beside the front door or propping it up on the sofa to give unsuspecting guests a fright.
