Belle Dingle is terrified in Emmerdale as the release of her abusive ex-husband Tom King from prison looms. The events planner learned this week that Tom, jailed for the abuse he inflicted on Belle during their marriage, is set to be freed soon. The prospect of seeing him again left her shaken, and she considered visiting him in a bid to regain control.
Rhona offers support and warns Cain
Rhona Goskirk was on hand to support Belle, recalling her own ordeal with rapist Pierce Harris. Belle was grateful for Rhona's help and resolved to move on, leaving Tom in the past. However, Rhona warned Cain Dingle to be on guard, noting there is no guarantee Tom will stay away.
Kim faces social services over baby Tate
Elsewhere, Kim Tate told Lydia Dingle about Graham looking after baby Tate while DS Thea Ramsden vowed to take Kim down using her theory about baby Tate being sold. In Wednesday's episode, Kim is taken aback when social services visit, having been told of an illegal adoption, and demand proof the child is okay.
Despite Serena Sugden's advice, Ramsden is determined to pursue her revenge. Elsewhere, Sam Dingle is set on finding Samson work upon his release, while Liam Cavanagh's behaviour makes Chas suspicious. Sadie King enacts the next phase of her plan after Caleb's rejection, noting his plans with Ruby and commencing Operation Sabotage Dinner.
