Amazon has undercut SharkNinja's own price for the popular CREAMi ice cream maker, offering a £28.01 discount that brings the price down to £169.99. This comes as the UK experiences a heatwave and after SharkNinja completely sold out of the device in June.
The Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream and Frozen Dessert Maker, which ordinarily retails at £198, is now available for £169.99 when shoppers apply a voucher on Amazon's product page. This represents a saving of roughly 14% and undercuts SharkNinja's own £199.99 price tag.
Features and Functions
The multi-functional device features seven settings to produce a wide variety of chilled treats, including ice cream, gelato, milkshakes, sorbet, and smoothie bowls. The Ninja CREAMi also includes a 'Mix-Ins' programme that evenly and automatically distributes ingredients such as chocolate chips, sweets, nuts, and biscuit pieces throughout the tub.
Powered by what the brand calls 'Creamify Technology', the CREAMi employs a rotating 'Creamerizer' paddle to achieve the ideal consistency. Ninja claims the device can transform frozen bases into cool, refreshing treats 'in minutes'. All functions are managed via an intuitive touchscreen, which also displays a progress bar so users know when their creation will be ready.
What's Included and Alternatives
Alongside the Ninja CREAMi itself, buyers will receive three dessert tubs with a total capacity of 1.4 litres of ice cream, plus a Ninja recipe guide for creative inspiration. Amazon is also offering the Ninja CREAMi Deluxe – which boasts 10 functions including frozen yoghurt and slushi – for £179.99 (was £199.99) with a similar voucher deal.
Elsewhere, Yimbly is knocking £20 off the Nutribullet Chill Ice Cream Maker with the code JULY10, priced at £180 (was £199.99). This model features five functions and is said to produce an assortment of chilled treats at the touch of a button. A more budget-friendly alternative is the Russell Hobbs Chilluxe Ice Cream Maker at £139.99 (was £160) from Argos, which also comes with seven functions but creates a smaller 500ml of ice cream.
Customer Reviews
Amazon shoppers have given the Ninja CREAMi an impressive 4.4-star rating following more than 1,100 reviews. One customer said: "It has quickly become one of the most-used appliances in my kitchen. I purchased it primarily to make homemade ice cream, but I've experimented with sorbets, milkshakes, frozen yogurt and protein ice cream, and the machine has performed exceptionally well. If you enjoy frozen desserts and like experimenting with recipes, the Ninja CREAMi offers excellent versatility and consistently delivers high-quality results."
Another reviewer commented: "Wish I'd bought this sooner, it has completely exceeded my expectations. The instructions were very easy to follow and after the first batch I was already experimenting with different recipes. I've already tried loads of combinations including lemon meringue, chocolate and even one made mainly with cottage cheese. It's really easy to use too." However, they added: "It's quite noisy while running, so don't expect a quiet appliance, but you do get used to it and the results make up for it."
A third five-star review stated: "Best kitchen investment, it allows me to make so many different flavours of ice cream at home, and the kids' all-time favourite is cookie dough. One of the biggest advantages is knowing exactly what ingredients go into your ice cream, which gives you full control over what your family is eating. It is a fantastic investment and great value for money."
