Aldi Issues Urgent Recall for Dairyfine Crispy Choc Ums Over Peanut Allergy Risk

Aldi has issued an urgent recall for its Dairyfine Crispy Choc Ums confectionery product due to a possible health risk. The supermarket chain is warning customers that the snack may contain peanuts, posing a serious risk to anyone with a peanut allergy.

The recall applies to all best before dates of the 121g pack, with barcode 4061463833464. Aldi has asked anyone who has purchased the product to return it to the store for a full refund. Point-of-sale notices have been displayed in stores to alert customers.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) confirmed the recall on its website, stating: 'As a precautionary measure, Aldi is recalling Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um’s because the product may contain peanuts. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.'
