Aldi is set to launch a new range of garden furniture, including a folding recliner chair priced at £24.99, which bears a striking resemblance to Dunelm's £35 Helsinki Reclining Sun Lounger Chair. The Aldi chair, available in black or grey, will hit stores on Thursday, May 21, just ahead of a forecasted bank holiday heatwave.
The Met Office has predicted temperatures could reach 28°C in southern parts of the UK on Friday, May 22, with highs of 25°C in northern areas. High pressure is expected to bring warm, fair weather over the long weekend, prompting many to seek outdoor seating upgrades.
Aldi's Belavi Folding Recliner features multiple reclining positions that lock into place, described by the retailer as offering 'ultimate comfort and convenience'. The space-saving design is similar to Dunelm's offering, which costs £35 for a single chair or £65 for a bundle of two. Aldi's version undercuts Dunelm's by over £10 per chair.
In addition to the recliner, Aldi is also offering a Garden Design String Chair for £25, which resembles B&Q's £114.99 Garden Chair Rattan Blue from Beliani. Both chairs share design similarities, but Aldi's version is significantly cheaper, appealing to budget-conscious shoppers.
The Specialbuy deals will be available in Aldi stores from Thursday, May 21, with some items also set for release on Sunday, May 24. Shoppers can view the full range online in advance.
