Aldi's new XXL Christmas candle, priced at £24.99, has sold out after being compared to a similar product from The White Company that costs £95. The supermarket's Hotel Collection XXL Wax Inclusion Candle, weighing 4.5kg, is said to burn for up to 200 hours and features scents of orange, cinnamon, and clove.
The candle, which goes on sale November 16, includes an inner core that creates a lantern effect when burned. Aldi claims it offers a 74% saving compared to The White Company's Winter Indulgence Botanical Candle. A new scent called Paradise, with notes of bergamot, amber, and vanilla, has also been introduced.
Other affordable options in Aldi's range include the £3.49 Starry Candle and diffusers in scents like Cinnamon and Patchouli, Peppermint and Pine, or Orange and Clove. The Nutcracker Candle, priced at £2.99, is also available.
Competitors offer similar products, with Dunelm selling an XXL festive candle for £18 and Next offering a mulled wine-scented candle for the same price. Marks and Spencer's viral £10 Christmas candles are also available online and in stores.
