Aldi is helping families prepare for the summer holidays by revealing the best times to shop before schools close, aiming to minimise the stress of busy periods. According to in-store data, the quietest times are before 10am and after 8pm on weekdays, with Saturday evenings also offering a calmer window for weekend shoppers.
Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: 'We know the school holidays can be a busy and expensive time for families, so we want to make shopping as simple and affordable as possible. By visiting during quieter periods and making use of Aldi’s everyday value, shoppers can save both time and money this summer.'
After investing over £200 million in price cuts this year, Aldi is encouraging families to take advantage of other savings, including its 'Super 6' fresh produce deals, red sticker reductions, weekly offers, and Specialbuys. Families can also join Aldi’s Summer Support Scheme, where one family each day in July and August can win a £50 voucher to help with the costs of feeding and entertaining children during the holidays.
The supermarket also highlighted its Fresh Guarantee, which allows customers who are not 100% satisfied with their fruit and vegetables to return them for a full refund. Aldi recommends stocking up on seasonal produce and freezing any items that won’t be eaten straight away to make the most of the deals.
