Aldi has confirmed its opening hours for the upcoming August bank holiday, and has also shared a hack for shoppers hoping to avoid queues.
Bank holiday opening hours
In an update on Tuesday, August 18, Aldi shared its opening hours for the bank holiday weekend. Stores across England and Wales will be open from 8am until 8pm on bank holiday Monday, August 31, while stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland will operate their usual opening hours.
Quietest times to shop
Aldi also shared the "quietest" times to shop, noting that going at 7pm could be a good move to avoid the masses. Data from last year's August bank holiday weekend shows that 8am-9am and 7pm-8pm were the quietest times.
Opening times can vary by location, so customers are encouraged to check the Aldi website for their local store's hours before heading out.
Making the shop 'as easy as possible'
Rachel Geary, Communications Director at Aldi UK, said: "Whether shoppers are stocking up for a barbecue, getting together with family and friends or picking up some last-minute essentials, we want to make their bank holiday shop as easy as possible."
She added: "For anyone looking to beat the bank holiday rush, heading to stores first thing in the morning or later in the evening is likely to mean a quieter shop."
Aldi also reminded consumers that it has recently lowered the prices of some 330 products, including fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples and household essentials. The latest reductions mean Aldi has now cut the price of more than 1,000 products this year.
