98p Spray Banishes Years of Mould From Grout

A cleaning enthusiast has shared a simple 20-minute hack to remove stubborn mould from grout, using a 98p spray. Linda Scott posted on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips and Tricks Facebook page, showing dramatic before-and-after photos of her tiles. She described the Stardrops Mould and Mildew Remover as 'amazing stuff' that wiped away dirt and mould without scrubbing.

Scott explained that she left the product on the grout for 20 minutes, then wiped it off, revealing the original grey colour. 'I have never found anything to clean the grout as quickly and nothing works better than this stuff,' she wrote. The spray is available from Warrior Warehouse for 98p, as well as B&M and Home Bargains.

For those preferring natural solutions, Victorian Plumbing recommends a baking soda paste. Mix baking soda with water to form a paste, apply to grout with a toothbrush, leave for 30 minutes, then rinse with water and wipe clean with a microfibre cloth. However, this method requires more scrubbing effort.
