Three Greater Manchester savers win £100k Premium Bonds

Three savers from Greater Manchester each won £100,000 in the November Premium Bonds draw, the second-highest prize available from National Savings and Investments (NS&I). The results were published on the NS&I website.

Every month, holders of Premium Bonds are entered into a prize draw, with each £1 invested representing one bond. Prizes range from £25 to £1 million, and the more a person holds, the greater their chances of winning, although exceptions occur.

Winning bond details

One Manchester borough saver, holding the maximum £50,000 in Premium Bonds, won £100,000 with bond number 548LA537583, purchased in August 2023. A Stockport saver, also holding the maximum amount, won £100,000 with bond number 452KC622149, bought in April 2021.

A third Greater Manchester saver won £100,000 with just £6,751 in their account. The winning bond, 294NB924154, was purchased in April 2017.

Jackpot winners and fund details

Two savers won the top £1 million prize this month: one from Shropshire and one from Outer London. The Outer London winner holds £30,000 in their account, below the maximum £50,000, and their winning bond, 175WW854599, was part of a £5,000 investment from December 2010. The Shropshire winner, holding the maximum £50,000, won with bond number 652GW962089.

Premium Bonds do not pay interest; instead, each £1 bond enters the monthly draw for tax-free prizes. The annual prize fund rate is currently 4.35%, which is variable, and the odds of winning are 21,000 to 1 for every £1 bond, also variable.

How to check results

Premium Bonds are available to UK residents aged 16 and over, and adults can buy them on behalf of children under 16. Holders can check results through the NS&I prize checker app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, which shows the latest month's results and prizes from the previous six draws. Alternatively, savers can use the online prize checker on the NS&I website by entering their holder's number.
