M&S Trouble Cloudy Rosé Goes Viral: £12.50 Bottle Touted as Good as £50 Wine

M&S shoppers are raving about a new wine that has gone viral, with some claiming the £12.50 bottle tastes as good as a £50 one. The Trouble Cloudy Rosé, an unfiltered wine from the Languedoc region of France, has become a must-have item, selling out rapidly across UK stores.

Joseph Arthur, senior wine buyer at M&S, told Metro: 'We literally can’t keep it on the shelf right now, it’s been so popular.' He added that stock is expected to return as soon as next week. The wine is made from Syrah and Grenache grapes by former rugby player Gerard Bertrand, who also produces Jon Bon Jovi's rosé, Hampton Water.

Unlike standard wines, Trouble Cloudy Rosé is unfiltered and unfined, meaning it retains natural particles that contribute to a fuller texture and more complex flavour. Reviewers have described it as 'divine' and 'delicious', with notes of strawberry, brioche, and candied raspberry. However, due to the lack of filtration, the wine should be consumed quickly and stored in a cool, dry place to prevent spoilage.

With National Rosé Day approaching on June 15, fans are advised to grab a bottle when supplies are replenished. The wine's popularity reflects a growing trend towards natural wines, which offer a more authentic tasting experience.
