Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for a hectic summer recruitment drive as manager Roberto De Zerbi looks to build on a strong start to the transfer window. The north London club, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, have already secured two free transfers: Andy Robertson from Liverpool and Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi. Despite not spending a penny so far, Spurs are now poised to invest heavily to steer clear of another relegation battle and push towards the Premier League's top half.
Defensive Reinforcements
Defence is a key area of concern after last season's poor performance and uncertainty over key players. Tottenham have agreed a £52 million deal for Brighton centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke, described as a complete modern defender. He is expected to partner Micky van de Ven, especially with Cristian Romero's future uncertain after a string of inconsistent displays.
Midfield and Attack Additions
In midfield, Tottenham have identified Newcastle's Sandro Tonali as a top target. The 26-year-old Italian is keen to join, though Newcastle demand at least £100 million. Up front, the club scored just 48 league goals last season and are targeting Savinho from Manchester City for around £60 million, as well as a new striker. Dusan Vlahovic, valued at £50 million, is a prime candidate after his long-standing links with a Premier League move.
These four signings would total £262 million, a significant investment that could transform the squad under De Zerbi's guidance and restore Tottenham to their former standing.
