Rod Stewart Questions Celtic's Transfer Activity
Legendary rocker Sir Rod Stewart has gone public with his concerns about Celtic's failure to secure new signings. The 81-year-old, a lifelong Celtic fan, took to social media from his luxury yacht to express his frustration, posting: "Flying the Celtic flag, as always, but why aren't we signing any new players?"
Deals Fall Through for Iheanacho and Saracchi
The Premiership champions endured a difficult Friday as deals for Kelechi Iheanacho and Marcelo Saracchi fell through. Iheanacho, who was part of Celtic's title-winning campaign, has signed a three-year deal with Turkish side Bursaspor. Saracchi, despite his efforts, will not return to Glasgow's east end. Manager Martin O'Neill had been keen to bring both players back after helping Celtic secure a 14th title in 15 seasons.
Celtic's Summer Signings So Far
Celtic have re-signed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and completed a £6 million deal for Camilo Duran from Qarabag. However, with star players Arne Engels and Daizen Maeda expected to leave this summer, more reinforcements are needed. Stewart's public comments reflect the growing unease among the Celtic fanbase.
O'Neill Set to Address Media
Celtic fans are seeking answers and are likely to get them when Martin O'Neill meets the media following Saturday's clash with Middlesbrough at Celtic Park. The club's transfer strategy will be a key topic of discussion.
