"The Kew Gardens 50p is a true change checker's dream," the expert stated on platform X. He emphasised that while it is not an easy find, coming across one can be very rewarding. On his Facebook page, he added, "If you're lucky enough to come across one, it can be worth around £150, depending on condition."
What Makes This Coin So Special?
The coin's value stems from its extremely low mintage and iconic design. On its reverse (tails) side, it features a detailed depiction of the famous Chinese Pagoda at Kew Gardens in London, created by artist Christopher Le Brun RA. The obverse (heads) side bears the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
