Bournemouth have confirmed that Argentine defender Marco Senesi will depart the club at the conclusion of his contract this summer. The 29-year-old centre-back joined the Cherries from Feyenoord in 2022 and has made 126 appearances for the south-coast side.
Contract Talks Break Down
Despite multiple offers of a new deal, Senesi rejected all proposals and has long been expected to leave at the end of the campaign. Several top Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, have been linked with the defender.
Club Statement
Bournemouth confirmed the news on Friday morning, paying tribute to Senesi in an official statement. The club said: 'After four brilliant seasons on the south coast, we can confirm that @senesimarcos will depart #afcb at the end of the season. We'll celebrate Marcos' contribution to the club following the final home game of the season against Manchester City.'
Senesi's departure marks the end of a successful stint at the Vitality Stadium, where he became a key figure in Bournemouth's defence. The club will honour his contributions in a special tribute after the final home match of the season.
