Liam Payne's Son Bear to Inherit £21 Million

Liam Payne's nine-year-old son Bear is set to inherit his late father's entire £21 million fortune, according to recently published probate documents filed with the High Court. The funds are expected to be placed in a trust until Bear reaches adulthood, with his mother Cheryl Tweedy and entertainment lawyer Richard Bray granted administrative powers over the estate.

Trust Arrangements for Bear's Inheritance

The Daily Mail reports that the probate documents allow portions of the estate to be used immediately to benefit Bear, while the remainder will be secured in trust until he turns 18. Sources close to Cheryl told the publication that the Girls Aloud singer will "always do the right thing by her beloved son." A source added: "It's a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything, that he will at least benefit from that. Liam had some very sensible people around him for a time and he adored Bear so much. He always wanted to do the right thing by him financially."

Kate Cassidy May Receive Nothing

Kate Cassidy, who was Liam's partner at the time of his death at age 31 in October 2024, may not receive any inheritance as the couple were not married or in a civil partnership, reports the Mirror. Cassidy revealed that they had intended to marry before his death from a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. In a heartfelt Instagram tribute, she described Liam as the "love of her life" and shared that he had written her a note saying: "Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444." She wrote: "I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go."
