Charli declined the offer immediately, questioning why someone would haggle over 40p. She said: 'To have the cheek to even offer 40p less when it's only £3 to begin with.'
Commenters were divided, with some sympathising and others defending the buyer. One user noted that Vinted recommends offers of 10-20% less, while another said they offer lower to cover buyer protection fees.
A fellow seller revealed they had refused an offer of £2.99 on a £3 item, saying: 'Why the 1p less? I know it's only a penny but I declined.'
