TSB customers can get £30 cashback with three debit card taps

TSB customers have been contacted to tell them how they can 'easily' earn £30 back into their account with three taps of their debit card. The bank has been emailing eligible customers to tell them that they can earn the cashback between now and the end of October. It said there was no minimum spend and action just needed to be taken by October 31, 2026.

How the offer works

People with a Visa debit card need to make three purchases to get the money in their accounts. It can be anything, the bank said. It explained: "It’s never been easier to earn £30 cashback with TSB. Simply use your Visa debit card to make three purchases from today until October 31."

"Best of all, there’s no minimum spend. Whether you’re buying a pack of gum, a pumpkin spice latte, or a bag of peas, you’ll qualify. That’s all there is to it. Once you’ve made your three separate purchases, even if they're on the same day, we’ll arrange to have £30 cashback paid into your account next month." It added that terms and conditions applied. The purchases can be made at home or abroad, it confirmed.

Eligibility and exclusions

TSB explained in the email: "To be eligible for the cashback, you must be the named recipient of this email. You must hold a TSB current account (excluding business accounts), which must remain open when the cashback is paid. We’ll have sole discretion on whether eligibility requirements have been met. If your account is joint, a total of three Qualifying Debit Card Payments must be made across the account. You do not each need to make three Qualifying Debit Card payments. Cashback can only be earned once per joint account."

It said the offer ran from today until 11.59pm on October 31, 2026. TSB said that "Qualifying Debit Card Payments" meant online, mail order purchases and in-store purchases, including contactless, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, completed during the offer period. Exclusions included ATM or other cash withdrawals using your card, Direct Debits, Standing Orders, payments to casinos, betting outlets or bookmakers, payments for trading or spread betting, bill payments made in a TSB branch and future-dated payments.

Payment date and conditions

It said that a Qualifying Debit Card Payment would be treated as completed on the date the money leaves the account. This is usually within five working days from the day you make the debit card transaction, but sometimes can be longer. Customers can tell when money is taken from their account by looking at their transactions online or on their statement, the bank added.

Those who complete the three payments during the offer period will be paid the £30 into their accounts by November 20, 2026. Finally, it added that the TSB current account referenced in the email must be open when the cashback is to be paid. It added: "We won't pay cashback if the account is closed before the cashback is paid, even if you met Qualifying Debit Card Payments during the offer period."
