Tesco Slashes Online Delivery Prices to £1 in Two-Day Offer
Tesco Drops Delivery Prices to £1 in Two-Day Deal

Tesco has announced a limited-time offer that reduces delivery slot prices for online shoppers, with some slots dropping to as low as £1. The promotion runs on Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13, and applies to all available nationwide slots.

Two-Day Discounted Delivery Slots

During the two-day offer, Tesco will reduce all one-hour delivery slots to £2, while four-hour and flexi saver slots will cost just £1. Every slot on both days is included, and customers can book via Tesco.com or the Tesco app. The discounted slots are available now for the specified dates.

This offer applies to Tesco's Home Delivery service, which allows customers to order groceries up to three weeks in advance. Normal delivery times are between 8am and 11pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am to 10pm on weekends. A minimum spend of £50 per order typically applies.

Comparison with Usual Pricing

Standard delivery charges vary, but Tesco offers Delivery Saver plans starting at £2.49 per month to eliminate fees. This limited-time promotion provides significant savings for all customers without requiring a subscription.

Using a Tesco Clubcard can help shoppers save further through special prices and points for vouchers. Other money-saving tips include buying own-brand products, looking for yellow sticker discounts, and using the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app to track vouchers. Delivery saver passes or click-and-collect options can also reduce costs.

Aldi Price Match Expansion

In related news, Tesco has extended its Aldi Price Match scheme to more than 2,000 Express convenience stores. This expansion means customers at Tesco Express can now purchase over 200 products price-matched to Aldi, including essentials like Tesco Penne Pasta Quills 500g, two-pint semi-skimmed milk, and whole iceberg lettuce.

The Aldi Price Match logo will be displayed on shelf edges to highlight matched products. The range may vary by store size and location. This move marks the biggest expansion of the scheme since its launch in May 2020, offering better value with the convenience of local Express stores.
