Primark Product Leaves Teen Unrecognisable After Severe Allergic Reaction

A 14-year-old girl from Holyhead, Anglesey, suffered a severe allergic reaction after using a Primark micellar water, leaving her face swollen and unrecognisable, her family has reported.

Violet Barron-Clarke was on a Christmas shopping trip with her mother Aiyeesha at the Trafford Centre in Manchester last weekend. Among their purchases was Primark's PS micellar cleansing water, which Violet used for the first time on Sunday evening. By Monday morning, her face had swollen so much that she could barely open her eyes.

The family dialled 999, and an ambulance crew administered medication to reduce the swelling. Violet has since been taking strong antihistamines prescribed by a doctor. Her mother described the ordeal as 'a scary experience' and warned others to be cautious, as her daughter had never had a similar reaction before.
