Nationwide £100 FlexStudent bonus deadline is tonight

Nationwide Building Society has confirmed that its offer of up to £100 in cash plus £120 in vouchers for new FlexStudent current account holders will be withdrawn at 11.59pm today, Thursday, October 22.

The world's largest building society is reminding eligible customers that the rewards are available with its FlexStudent account, which is aimed at first-year university students. According to Nationwide, the account "has quickly become a popular choice among freshers across the UK".

What the FlexStudent account includes

The package includes an interest and fee-free arranged overdraft of up to £1,000 in the first year, £2,000 during year two, and £3,000 in the third year. To qualify for these overdraft increases, students are required to pay in a minimum of £500 each term or transfer at least £1,500 across two or more transactions within the previous year.

The FlexStudent account also offers commission-free spending and cash withdrawals while abroad.

How to claim the bonus

To claim the cash bonus and vouchers, students must open a new FlexStudent account before the deadline, deposit at least £500, and make five debit card transactions by December 11, 2026.

Those meeting these criteria will be paid £100 within a fortnight. Qualifying account holders will additionally receive a registration code allowing them to redeem a £10 Just Eat voucher code each month during the first 12 months, amounting to £120 worth of vouchers.

FlexGraduate access and final reminder

FlexStudent account holders will benefit from exclusive access to FlexGraduate, a post-graduation current account offering an interest-free, fee-free arranged overdraft designed to assist students during their transition beyond university, providing them with room to manage their overdraft after finishing their studies.

Fred Powell, Head of Product at Nationwide Building Society, said: "The FlexStudent offer has proved hugely popular with students this year. With the incentives ending soon, we're reminding anyone who wants to benefit from the offer to apply before the deadline."
