Marks and Spencer has issued an urgent warning to customers to stop using its Hand Painted Jug immediately due to a risk of injury. The product has been withdrawn from sale and recalled, as the glass may shatter during normal use.

The recalled item is a blue-tinted jug with painted leaf decorations, made in China, with model number T34/9829D. It has been available for purchase in the UK and Ireland since February 28, 2026, priced at £18.

Other recalls

Separately, Asda has issued a product recall for the Hapello Power Train children's toy due to a choking risk. The toy, described as a "multicoloured battery power train toy" with barcode number 5063089308547, was on sale between August 2024 and February 2026. It has been withdrawn because of "easily-detachable small parts" that could be dangerous to young children.

Customers who own the toy are advised to return it to their nearest Asda store for a full refund. Asda stated: "We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. If you would like any further information, please contact: Asda Customer Relations - 0330 053 0111."
