McDonald's is reintroducing two popular menu items this week: the Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken and Crispy BBQ & Bacon Wraps, alongside the return of the Matcha latte. The wraps will be available from July 29, with the £1.99 'wrap of the day' deal also returning.
The fast-food chain cited customer demand as the driving force behind the comeback. Michelle Graham-Clare, Vice President of Food and Marketing at McDonald's UK and Ireland, said: 'We’ve heard loud and clear on social media that customers are missing the Big Flavour Wraps range, so we’re delighted to be bringing back the two most popular flavours this week.'
The announcement coincides with the Government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme, launching August 3, which offers 50% off food and drink up to £10 per person. McDonald's confirmed it will participate, offering reductions for dine-in customers, including the wrap of the day for £1.
This week, 144 more McDonald's restaurants in England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland will open for dine-in, following 700 last week. Branches in Wales remain closed due to local restrictions. Safety measures include table service only, hand sanitiser stations, one-way markers, and contactless payment. Customers must provide contact details for NHS Track and Trace.
