Lidl shoppers will soon be able to save money every week after the supermarket announced a new discount for customers using its loyalty app. From this Wednesday, Lidl Plus members will be able to claim 10% off one item from the retailer's Live Well range every Wednesday as part of a new promotion called Wellness Wednesdays. The offer will run until September 2 and is available through the Lidl Plus app, meaning shoppers will need to activate the digital coupon before scanning it at the checkout.

The discount applies to hundreds of products carrying Lidl's Live Well logo, including fresh fruit and vegetables, legumes, beans, pulses, wholegrains, salmon fillets and yoghurt, helping customers cut the cost of healthier food. Lidl said it launched the campaign after research found that almost 70% of shoppers believe eating healthily comes with a higher price tag. The supermarket has also teamed up with budget chef Miguel Barclay, best known for his One Pound Meals books, to encourage shoppers to prepare affordable meals using ingredients inspired by the Planetary Health Diet.

To claim the weekly discount, shoppers must download the Lidl Plus app, activate the Wellness Wednesdays coupon and scan the app when paying in store.

The new offer is the latest perk available through Lidl Plus, which has expanded significantly in recent months. Members now collect Lidl Plus Points every time they shop, earning one point for every £1 spent after scanning the app at the checkout. Those points can later be exchanged in the app for money-off vouchers or product rewards, with points remaining valid for up to two years. The app also gives customers access to fresh personalised digital coupons every Thursday, with offers becoming more tailored to individual shopping habits over time. Lidl Plus users can also receive exclusive or early access discounts on selected Middle of Lidl products, which include everything from garden equipment and DIY tools to clothing and kitchen gadgets. Registered users are also treated to a free bakery item during their birthday week, with a coupon added to the app that can be redeemed without a minimum spend. Another popular feature returning to the Lidl Plus app is the Bakery Spin promotion, which officially runs from Thursday, July 30, until Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Customers who make any qualifying in-store purchase of at least 1p and scan their Lidl Plus app can unlock one spin per day, with every spin guaranteed to win a free bakery coupon loaded into their app. The rewards can be redeemed on a future shop and typically include items such as croissants, pain au chocolat, doughnuts, pretzel rolls, apple turnovers and even pizza slices. The Lidl Plus app also includes digital receipts, Lidl Pay for combining payment and loyalty scanning in a single transaction, and a range of partner offers, including discounts on holidays, dining memberships and photo printing services.
