Jet2 has issued a reminder to UK passengers about the importance of carrying a bank card when flying, as it helps to prevent unnecessary delays during onboard service. The airline emphasises that having a card ready ensures a smoother experience for both customers and crew.
On its website, Jet2 states that card payments are the only accepted method for onboard purchases, aiming to make its service as efficient as possible. The airline advises travellers to bring their physical card to use chip and PIN when needed.
In addition to traditional card payments, Jet2 has introduced contactless options including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Passengers are encouraged to use these methods to place orders promptly without any hold-ups.
The airline also reminds passengers of other onboard rules. Any alcohol purchased must be consumed during the flight, and the airline reserves the right to serve alcoholic drinks at its absolute discretion. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited on all flights in accordance with safety laws.
Jet2 warns that the aircraft captain has full authority to refuse boarding or take action against disruptive passengers. Anyone behaving inappropriately may be liable to indemnify the airline against any loss and could be banned from future flights.
