Dunkin' Donuts Tests Massive 48-Ounce Coffee Buckets in Limited New England Stores

Dunkin' Donuts has launched a brand new drink size that has left fans across America feeling both excited and deeply frustrated. The coffee chain is currently testing their new Beverage Buckets - enormous 48-ounce containers designed specifically for cold drinks - but only in a select number of stores across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Monstrous Caffeine Intake Sparks Mixed Reactions

The new buckets represent a significant size increase from Dunkin's previous largest offering, which was a 24-ounce extra large drink. The coffee buckets start at $8.89, while the refresher option costs $9.49. This massive new container comes with a unique lid and straw system designed to handle the substantial volume.

While some customers have expressed excitement about the potential for enormous caffeine intake, many Dunkin' fans have taken to social media to voice their disappointment about the limited availability. The testing has been confined to Dunkin's birthplace of Massachusetts and neighboring New Hampshire, leaving customers in other states feeling excluded from the experience.

Social Media Backlash Over Limited Testing Locations

On social media platform X, customers have been particularly vocal about their frustration. One person complained, "The discrimination Connecticut has faced for not being in the testing group for the Dunkin Bucket will not be forgiven." Another wrote, "So extremely jealous of people with that Dunkin bucket... I want it to store all my little bits of nonsense."

Not all reactions have been positive, however. A third user chimed in with, "Y'all are sick if you drink this," while another added, "What do you mean you don't want to drive 5 hours to experience a Dunkin bucket with me?" The mixed reactions highlight the polarizing nature of this enormous new beverage container.

Future Expansion Plans Remain Unclear

While some locations have already run out of the buckets, additional stores - including Foxborough, Massachusetts - are expected to roll out the new menu item in the coming week. However, Dunkin' has not yet clarified whether they plan to expand the buckets to stores in other states, or if and when the buckets might become available nationwide.

The coffee chain did not immediately return requests for comment regarding their future plans for the beverage buckets. This marks the first time Dunkin' has used a cup this large for their drinks, though they previously utilized buckets for their Halloween Munchkin Buckets promotion.

The bucket testing comes shortly after Dunkin' offered a limited edition pink mitten designed to help customers carry their iced drinks in cold weather, suggesting the chain is experimenting with various seasonal and size-based innovations to engage their customer base.
