A delivery driver has been dismissed after being caught on camera throwing a parcel over a gate instead of handing it to the recipient. The incident occurred at the home of Jorja Hunt, a 24-year-old make-up artist and technician, in Port Talbot.
Footage shows the DPD driver tossing the package over the gate and also throwing a delivery slip at the property. Ms Hunt expressed concern that her business stock, which is regularly delivered by DPD, could have been damaged. 'If that had been my stock, it would not have been acceptable,' she said.
DPD apologised and confirmed the driver no longer works for the company. A spokesperson stated: 'At DPD we take customer service and the behaviour of our people very seriously indeed. Clearly, the behaviour here falls a long way short of what we expect from our drivers.'
