Mourinho warned: No chance of signing Olise for Real Madrid

Jose Mourinho has been warned that he has no chance of signing Michael Olise this summer, despite reportedly scouting the winger in Berlin. The Portuguese coach is expected to be named Real Madrid manager at the end of the season, and he was spotted at Bayern Munich’s German Cup clash with Stuttgart, fuelling speculation he was monitoring Olise.

Bayern Munich dismiss Mourinho's interest

However, Bayern Munich’s honorary president Uli Hoeness has dismissed any possibility of a transfer. Speaking about Mourinho’s presence, Hoeness said: "Jose Mourinho is in the stadium tonight to keep an eye on Michael Olise for Real Madrid? He can keep five eyes on him, he still won’t get him."

Olise, 24, has enjoyed an outstanding season for Bayern, scoring 22 goals and providing 30 assists in all competitions. His form has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Bayern's stance on Olise's future

Bayern chief Max Eberl confirmed last month that the club has no intention of selling Olise. Asked if the French winger would stay beyond the summer, Eberl replied: "Absolutely. Yes. We’re not having a second to think about anything."

Olise remains under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2029. The former Crystal Palace star is set to represent France at the upcoming World Cup, further enhancing his reputation.

Steven Gerrard's admiration

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has urged his former club to move for Olise, but admitted it would be difficult to prise him away from Bayern. "All day long. But the problem is, why would he leave Bayern? A big club, challenging for the big honours, and they are probably the strongest Bayern Munich team we have seen for a while," Gerrard said.

"He is about to take the World Cup by storm come the summer. He looks like a really happy kid, settled. To me, I don’t think he’s going anywhere. But, yes, would I love him at Liverpool? And you know what, I wouldn’t mind Luis Diaz back as well. I’m missing him."

Despite Mourinho’s apparent interest, Bayern remain firm that Olise is not for sale, leaving the Real Madrid-bound manager with little hope of landing the talented winger.
