Met Office Long-Range Forecast
The Met Office's long-range forecast from Monday, July 13 to Wednesday, July 22 predicts a change in weather, including thunderstorms and spells of wet and windy conditions. The forecast states: "There will, however, be a risk of thunderstorms spreading into the south of the UK from France at times. Temperatures will be warm or very warm for most, perhaps hot at times in the southwest, but probably not as hot as of late. Later in the period the chance of low pressure increases, which may bring spells of wet and windy weather at times."
Current Heatwave Conditions
Currently, the UK is experiencing extensive sunshine and dry weather with widespread temperatures over 30°C due to high pressure. However, humidity levels are lower than during the late June heatwave, allowing some areas to cool more readily overnight. The Met Office also expects easterly winds over the next few days, leading to cooler conditions for many.
