Scott McTominay has been enjoying a luxury holiday in St Barts with his girlfriend Cam Reading following Scotland's elimination from the World Cup. The 29-year-old Napoli midfielder jetted off to the Caribbean island after playing every minute of Scotland's three group fixtures.

Scotland's World Cup return, their first since 1998, ended in the group stage despite an opening victory over Haiti. Drawn in a tough group with Brazil and Morocco, the team failed to advance. Manager Steve Clarke resigned after the final 3-0 loss to Brazil, which left the squad waiting on third-placed team scenarios that ultimately did not go in their favour.
McTominay, who was crucial in helping Scotland qualify, completed all 270 minutes of the group stage. The midfielder described the experience as memorable despite the early exit, having played on the sport's largest stage for his country.

McTominay and Reading shared glimpses of their getaway on Instagram. Cam posted a collection of photographs showing the couple holding glasses of wine, stylish ensembles, and coastal vistas, captioning the images: "St Barths." The island, a French overseas territory in the Caribbean, spans 9.7 square miles and is home to 11,550 residents. It has become a popular destination for billionaires, with former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich purchasing property there in 2009. Forbes reported that NBA icon Michael Jordan and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos moored their superyachts in St Barts last December ahead of New Year's Eve.
Club Season and Career Highlights
McTominay's holiday comes after a gruelling season with Napoli, where he featured in 44 matches and netted 14 goals. He joined the Italian club in 2024 after making 255 appearances for Manchester United, his boyhood club where he debuted in 2017. In his debut season at Napoli, he helped the club win the Serie A title and earned the Serie A Most Valuable Player award.
The midfielder will now turn his attention back to club football as Napoli prepare for the upcoming season.
