The Red Arrows are set to return to the skies above Merseyside this weekend as one of the main attractions at this year's Southport Air Show. The event takes place in the seaside town on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30.
For those unable to attend the show, there is still a chance to see the team in action. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is hosting the team this weekend, meaning they will travel from Liverpool to Southport each day.
Airport hosts Red Arrows
An airport spokesperson told the ECHO: “The Southport Air Show is a great annual event and to have this in our City Region means that we often have some of the aircraft participating spend some time here at the airport during the two day event, and we are delighted to host the world famous Red Arrows once again between their displays.”
