Trained by Tim Easterby, the three-year-old has won at Beverley and twice at today's course. He has made all the running in three victories at around 1m, going up only 8lb in the process, and there is every chance he can adopt the same tactics successfully over 7f.
Redcar run and Sedgefield selection
That was the goal when he ran over today's trip at Redcar five days ago, but David Allan found himself on the wrong side of the track. Hatamoto was first home of his group but overall finished fourth in a 15-runner field. He should enjoy better luck in this smaller field.
At Sedgefield, MR MCWHINNY can record his third win on his fifth start for Tom Ellis in the Bill & Teresa Florentines 50th Anniversary Handicap Chase (3.30, NB). Seven days ago he landed a conditional jockeys chase at Newton Abbot and reappears in the North East unpenalised for an easy success.
