Flash floods triggered by an avalanche of ice and rock have swept through parts of Nepal, leaving 384 tourists missing, including 12 from the UK. At least eight people have been killed and widespread damage has been reported to villages and infrastructure.
Tourists unaccounted for
Officials reported that 384 tourists are missing as a result of the flash flood. Among them, 291 are from countries including India, the United States, the United Kingdom and Malaysia.
The flooding hit the Rasuwa and Bhotekoshi areas, where villages have been swept away by the force of the water.

The avalanche of ice and rock triggered the sudden flash floods on Wednesday, causing chaos across the affected regions. The full extent of the damage is still emerging as rescue and assessment efforts continue.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the total number of casualties, but the death toll currently stands at eight, with hundreds more feared dead among the missing.
