At least 17 people have been killed and hundreds are missing, including 12 British tourists, after flash flooding along the Bhote Koshi river in Nepal near the border with Tibet.
The flood struck early on Wednesday in Rasuwa, north of Kathmandu. Some 291 foreign nationals are missing, including 12 Brits, along with 93 people from Nepal.
Rescue efforts hampered
Rescue helicopters have been unable to land, with images showing crumbled homes and a metal bridge being washed away.
