Tens of thousands of TalkTalk customers experienced internet connectivity issues on Friday morning, with reports flooding in from across the UK.
DownDetector, a popular outage tracking website, recorded over 30,000 reports starting around 10:00 BST. Affected users took to social media, particularly Twitter, to voice their frustrations, especially those working from home.
TalkTalk confirmed the issue was resolved by approximately 11:30 BST, but did not disclose the cause. In a statement, the company apologised for the inconvenience, noting that some services remained unaffected during the outage.
The incident mirrors a similar failure at Virgin Media a month ago, which caused intermittent problems until the following morning. Virgin Media attributed that outage to a technical fault in its core network.
